Wired Router Issues

Postby Gofer01 » Mon Sep 06, 2010 12:44 am

I have this wire router

My copy of directUpDate is reporting the local network IP address that is assign to the computer by the router to ZoneEdit.com and not the dynamic IP address assigned to my computer by my internet provider

So how do I tell DirectUpDate that I'm using a router and to get the IP infomation from the router to report to my DNS provider witch is ZoneEdit.com.

The router is working perfectly. It's getting the data from the internet and passing the data to the correct computer thats running IIS 7.5 web server on my local network

DirectUpDate works flawlessly without the router. Unfortunly I have several computers working off of 1 internet connection. So I need that router.

Thanks for your assistance

Hi Mike,

192.169.x.x should be ignored by default (as they are non routable/public IPs).
Please, make sure that the option "Enable private IP" is not checked.
Could you aslo send/post a screenshot of your IP detection settings?
