NO-IP Problem

Postby LePousson » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:06 am

Hi !

Since yesterday, I am getting problems to update my IP on NO-IP (host.no-ip.org) using 4.6.6 ...

DirectUpdate tells me : HTTP object/file not found. 0x81850194

What could be the problem ?

thanks to tell me ...

Hi guys,

No-IP changed their update protocol.
I updated the plug-in to take the changes into account.
I couldn't test the new plugin, so I'd appreciate if you could give it a go, and post some feedback here.

The new plugin version is attached here:
- Stop the DU engine.
- Unzip then copy/overwrite the attached dud file to the dns subfolder.
- Restart the engine.

Hope it helps
Regards
William

BUT....... Now it works also again with the old version. Crazy...

I suspect they keep both version alive.
For some reasons the "old/legacy" one was offline for some time.
It's safer to use the new/official version anyway!

Thx for your feedback

By the way,
I'm working on a new feature, where the latest plugins version will always be downloaded (automatically and transparently) from a central location.
That way, every users will benefit from a change/fix instantly.

I'll post more info on the official web site soon.

Cheers
William
