A valid Domain Name was not provided. 0x81830067

Postby Manuel » Sat May 30, 2015 10:41 am

Hello, i recently registered an account at dyn.com and created a dyndns Domain to use with direct update, so that i can Access my pc via VPN.
So i bought a license key for the direct update Software and tried to set it up.

But when i enter my Domain Name: artex1.dyndns.org
with the correct username and Password for dyn.com
i only get an error when i try to unlock the dns account.

A valid Domain Name was not provided.

I dont know whats wrong or how to fix this, so any help would be great!

regards

Manuel

Hi Larry,

Sure, fire away the dump zipped file.
Note that dyndns (now dyn.com) recently introduced "Updater client key" to replace your account password.
Please generate your "updater client key" from dyn.com web site (account settings), and use it in DirectUpdate instead of your account password.

Thx!
