ftp upload issue

Postby th1rd3y3 » Thu Jul 07, 2005 1:32 pm

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is the ftp upload just normally extremely flaky. It will not work unless I have the IP and only the IP of my ftp server in the address field. What I would like to be able to do is upload it to my www folder so that I (and anyone else) can access my IP from my hosted website. It will upload to the root dir but if try to tell it to log into x.x.x.x/www/ it just fails every time. Also it will not resolve my domain name at all, only way it would work was by ip. I'd like to purchase this program but if it doesn't do this I won't be because it's the only reason I want/need it.

you can enter a domain name for your ftp server !
If the dns resolution failed, it may be an issue with your dns servers ?

The location where to upload the file must be part of the "remote filename".
use "/path/blabla/remote.whatyouwant"
and the local file "ftp.txt" will be uploaded in "/path/blabla" under the name "remote.whatyouwant".

Note that in the current version, only "PASV" mode (passive) is implemented.
Activ mode may be added in a future version.

Hope it helps
