[Solved] ZoneEdit Setup

Postby BK » Mon Jul 18, 2005 6:22 am

I just downloaded the newest version (4.0) of DU. This is the fist time I've used this program, and even though it appears simple, I haven't get it to work successfully. In ZoneEdit, it states to use the URL: http://dynamic.zoneedit.com/auth/dynami ... myzone.com. When I type my information into a web page, it takes it, I enter my username/password, and it updates ZoneEdit with the correct information. When I put that sting into DU, I get "A valid Domain Name was not provided. 0x81830067"

I have the entire URL on the Domain/host line, and the Extra info field is blank.

I get a successful code if I leave the "?host=myzone.com" portion off, making the line "http://dynamic.zoneedit.com/auth/dynamic.html" but nothing is updated.

Too many people seem to be using this, based on what I see on the web. What am I doing wrong?

It's working. In the hosts section, only put in the host, not the address. Im the example, I had http://dynamic.zoneedit.com/auth/dynami ... myzone.com. All that was needed was myzone.com. Easy enough!!
